NYTHA Contributes $25K to Support Cornell Equine

The New York Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association (NYTHA) has made a contribution of $25,000 to support the development of Cornell Equine. The cross-campus program, rooted in Cornell University's scientific research clinical care and education, and based at the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, aims to advance equine health and education through enhanced collaboration amongst interdisciplinary teams. Pleasant Valley State Prison And Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation Host Open Barn

Pleasant Valley State Prison (PVSP) and the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation (TRF) are hosting an "Open Barn" event May 12 from noon to 2 p.m. to celebrate the fourth anniversary of the PVSP Second Chances Program. This vocational training program provides incarcerated participants with life-changing job skills through its accredited equine care and stable management courses.
