A colt by Jeu St Eloi (Fr) from Jimmy and Eileen Furlong's Thistletown Stud topped the opening day of the Tattersalls Ireland November National Hunt Sale at €58,000. Tattersalls Ireland announced significant updates to its 2025 Derby Sale on Friday, with the return of a Part II session and the addition of a two-year-old store section. The British-based trainers dominated the top end of the day one Derby Sale trade at Tattersalls Ireland on Wednesday with Aiden and Olly Murphy snapping up two of the most expensive geldings to go through the ring, including the Doctor Dino (Fr) sale-topper at €250,000. Record-Breaking Derby Sale Closes

Tattersalls Ireland's two-day Derby Sale drew to a close on Thursday with records achieved for the average and median price at the sale. An average of €54,018 and a median of €48,000 were achieved at the sale which returned a clearance rate of 86% for 299 lots sold. Twenty-four lots sold for six figures. Altior's Sister Shines At Derby Sale

A 3-year-old half-sister to seven-time Grade 1 winner Altior (Ire) (High Chaparral {Ire}) (lot 301) was the star of the show during the second and final session of the Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale on Wednesday when fetching a final bid of €300,000 from Aidan O'Ryan and Gordon Elliott.
