The National Thoroughbred Racing Association announced the disqualification of three unnamed players from the NHC and NHC Tour for a period of two years on Thursday. The Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA) Calendar Photo Contest is now open for submissions. The TAA is seeking photos of Thoroughbreds at a TAA-accredited organization or of Thoroughbreds who have been adopted from a TAA-accredited organization. Online submissions will be accepted now through June 11, 2022. Twelve photos will be selected, including one cover photo winner which will receive a Tipperary 9800 Devon with MIPS helmet. The Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation will host its second online photo contest for horse lovers to draw attention to their equine companions. The contest opened Feb. 1 and entries will be accepted through Feb. 28. Participants are encouraged to submit photos of horses representing all breeds, backgrounds and disciplines via this link.
