Barn Fire Claims 15 Horses at Crane Thoroughbreds

A barn fire at Crane Thoroughbreds claimed the lives of 15 horses Saturday. "It was our sale baby barn," Clovis Crane confirmed via text. "We lost 15 2-year-olds. I got seven out, but the eighth wouldn't come out." Crane said his family and staff were uninjured in the blaze. Crane Thoroughbreds, located near Penn National Race Course, offers year-round breaking and sales prep.
