Kentucky Derby Museum Launches Exhibit Upgrade

The Kentucky Derby Museum has launched a $1-million upgrade to its 'Riders Up!' exhibit. Construction began this month and the new exhibit is expected to debut Apr. 12. The museum originally built the 'Riders Up!' exhibit in 2000 as a way to immerse visitors in the Derby and race day experience from the viewpoint of a jockey and Thoroughbred racehorse. The new, immersive Secretariat: America's Horse exhibit at the Kentucky Derby Museum is now open to the public in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the chestnut's historic Derby win and Triple Crown sweep.
