Eight races with purses and awards totaling more than $1.5 million will be offered as part of the Breeders' Cup undercard weekend according to an announcement Tuesday from Breeders' Cup Limited and Del Mar Thoroughbred Club. James A. Philpott, Jr., one of the original founding directors of Breeders' Cup Limited, died Monday. He was 77.
