Fasig-Tipton will consolidate its July, Saratoga, and New York-Bred yearling sales into one selected yearling auction--the 2020 Selected Yearlings Showcase--to be held Wednesday and Thursday, September 9-10, at its Lexington, Kentucky facility. Fasig-Tipton will offer online bidding at all of its future live auctions, the company announced in a press release Thursday morning. The platform will be available for Fasig-Tipton's next scheduled auction, the Midlantic Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale, to be held June 29-30 in Timonium, Maryland. Fasig-Tipton released its official logo for the company's 100th annual Saratoga Selected Yearlings Sale, which will be held Aug. 10-11 in Saratoga Springs. Fasig-Tipton, Keeneland Announce Revised Procedures For TAA Funding

Fasig-Tipton Company, Inc. and Keeneland Association representatives announced revised procedures to provide funding to the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA).  Beginning with the 2020 yearling sales, all sellers/owners will be charged 0.05% of the sales price (for example, $50 on a $100,000 sale) on each horse sold at public auction with the two companies. Previously, sellers have had the opportunity to "opt out" of the TAA contribution. Breeding Stock Sales Season Wraps Up at Fasig February

The final auction of the breeding stock sales season kicks off Monday at Fasig-Tipton with their two-day Winter Mixed Sale. A total of 542 horses filled the initial catalogue and that number has risen to 651 with the addition of late supplements. Ashton Moynihan Passes Away

Ashton Moynihan, the funding director of the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance, passed away Friday afternoon after a long battle with cancer. Moynihan grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia, where she graduated from Sweet Briar College. Her father, Harrison "Chief" Nesbit was a football player and then coach at the University of Virginia. Her first job was selling advertising for an equine publication. Her love of horses led her to New York, where she worked for a Thoroughbred racing partnership, and finally to Lexington, Kentucky.
