Del Mar Ready For Bing Crosby Season Friday

Entries were drawn Tuesday for the eight-race Friday card that kicks off the 13-day Bing Crosby Season at Del Mar, the track said in a release Wednesday afternoon. Collmus Returns to Call Del Mar's Fall Meet

Race caller Larry Collmus will return for the third time, calling the majority of Del Mar's upcoming Bing Crosby Season, which runs from Nov. 11 through Dec. 4. Del Mar rounded out its 2021 racing calendar Dec. 5 with the conclusion of its eighth Bing Crosby Season following its successful fall and summer meets. Between them, the pair totaled a combined final wagering mark of $943.49 million, a record for the seaside oval. Among highlights this season, the oval saw the return of racing fans, healthy purses in addition to hosting another record-setting Breeders' Cup. Del Mar Fall Meet Kicks off Oct. 31

Del Mar's seventh Bing Crosby fall race meeting, which begins Saturday Oct. 31 for its 15-day run and continues through Sunday, Nov. 29, will offer 16 stakes races, headed by the GI Hollywood Derby Nov. 28 and GI Matriarch S. Del Mar Releases Fall Condition Book

Del Mar released the first condition book for the seventh Bing Crosby Season, an eight-day book that will cover the first half of the 15-day meeting, which runs Oct. 31 through Nov. 29. The condition book is available on-line at www.dmtc.com/horsemen/condition-book. Hard copies also are being distributed at racing centers throughout California. Del Mar Releases Fall Stakes Schedule

Del Mar Thoroughbred Club outlined its fall stakes schedule consisting of 16 stakes worth $2,250,000 and will be presented through its 15-day Bing Crosby Season, beginning  Oct. 31. Del Mar has added a pair of California-bred sprint stakes for juveniles that were not on its agenda the past two seasons.
