Australian champion sire Snitzel (Aus) brought up a milestone 150th stakes winner when the Ciaron Maher-trained Saint Emilion (Aus) won the Listed Geelong Classic for three-year-olds on Wednesday. Dual Australian Champion Sire Fastnet Rock (Aus) (Danehill) has been pensioned from stallion duty, Coolmore Australia announced. Bred by Linley Investments, the son of Piccadilly Circus (Aus) (Royal Academy) would go on to race for an ownership group and trainer Paul Perry. His best days on the racecourse were in 2005, where he won the G1 Lightning S. and G1 Oakleigh Plate in succession. Arrowfield Stud's Snitzel (Aus) (Redoute's Choice {Aus}-Snippets' Lass {Aus}, by Snippets {Aus}) has become just the sixth sire in the 137-year history of the Australian Sires' Premiership to earn four or more consecutive champion sire titles.
