The catalogue for the Arqana Summer Sale, slated for June 30-July 1, is now online. There are 593 lots total set to go through the ring at Deauville, with 81 Flat-bred 2-year-olds set to breeze at Deauville-La Touques Racecouse on June 29 beginning at 1 p.m. Those juveniles are first through the ring at 11 a.m. on June 30, with 156 2- and 3-year-old stores and 23 3-year-olds in training from the Ecurie Centrale dispersal set to follow later that day. Arqana's Online Spring Sale, planned for May 21, did not draw enough high-potential offerings, and thus entries for that sale will be transferred to the Arqana Summer Sale, which is set for Deauville from June 29 to July 1. The Arqana Summer Sale is a mixed sale of 2-year-old breeze-up and store horses, breeding stock and flat and National Hunt horses in training. It has had a clearance rate of greater than 80% for four consecutive years.

Some of the wild cards for the Arqana Summer Sale have been announced, Arqana revealed on Monday. The seven horses-in-training will go under the hammer along with the rest of the catalogue-consisting of 2-year-olds and horses-in-training--on July 20. Following the Saturday morning announcement that Goffs UK and Arqana will combine to hold an Irish breeze-up, the latter sales company released new dates for the Arqana Summer Sale, which will now be held in late July. Originally slated for June 29-July 1, the mixed Flat and National Hunt sale is now scheduled for the week beginning July 20, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
