Lauren Keen-Hawkins Moved Out Of Intensive Care

Lauren Keen-Hawkins, an amateur jockey who sustained a serious head injury in a fall at Worcester earlier this month, has been moved out of intensive care. Hospitalised in Birmingham, the winning rider and member of Kim Bailey's team, was visited by Bailey's assistant Mat Nicholls this week. Amateur rider Lauren Keen-Hawkins sustained a major head injury in a fall at Worcester on Sunday and has been hospitalised in Birmingham, the Injured Jockeys Fund (IJF) announced on Monday. Hana Jurankova Joins Arqana

Hana Jurankova has been appointed Arqana's new Eastern European Representative, succeeding Chris Richner, who passed away last year. A native of the Czech Republic, Jurankova's father is a trainer and she currently holds roles as a self-employed racing manager and secretary in Austria. Irish amateur jockey Rob James, who was shown climbing aboard and sitting astride a dead horse in an eight-second video that circulated on social media last week, has received a 12-month suspension of his qualified riders license and handlers permit from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board, which tweeted the result of its investigation late on Wednesday evening.
