Officials at Magic Millions have announced the addition of two talented and accomplished New Zealand-based mares as supplemental entries to their upcoming National Broodmare Sale May 27-31.
Ruud Awakening (Aus) (Bernardini), the champion juvenile in New Zealand and winner of the G1 Diamond S. in 2013, will make the trip over to Australia, as will Fix (NZ) (Iffraaj {GB}), a treble Group 2 winner and multiple Group 1-placed en route to being named Filly of the Year in New Zealand. The news comes on the heels of the announcement that Sweet Idea (Aus) (Snitzel {Aus}), upset winner of the G1 Galaxy S., was also being added to the catalogue.
“We are honoured to present what will be the finest supplementary catalogue ever for an Australian thoroughbred auction with a sensational selection of quality lots,” Magic Millions Managing Director Vin Cox said. “As well as Sweet Idea, Fix and Ruud Awakening, we are also set to catalogue a number of other outstanding black-type winning mares. Our catalogue has buyers from all budgets covered with top breeding prospects. We have our largest catalogue of race fillies and maiden mares and many of these young prospects will develop into the country's next star producers.”
