A SHIN AMEN RA (c, 3, American Pharoah–I O Ireland, by Giant's Causeway), a $325K purchase out of the 2018 KEESEP sale, got his career off to a smashing start, landing a nine-furlong dirt maiden at this track by seven dominating lengths Dec. 7 (see below, gate 4). Unraced since, the chestnut stretches out and tries the grass for the first time, but has license to do so. His dam was a stakes winner on the turf and stakes-placed over an extended 10 furlongs for Illinois-based Team Block, while second dam Ioya Two (Lord At War {Arg}) was victorious in Arlington's GIII Modesty H. The latter's produce include Ioya Bigtime (Dynaformer), victorious in the GIII Kentucky Cup Turf over this trip, GSW Amazing Results (Grand Slam) and SW Mavericking (Empire Maker) from this sire line.
