JOUNCY (GB) (Wootton Bassett {GB}) is the seventh foal out of Juddmonte's dual listed winner and multiple group-placed Joyeuse (GB) (Oasis Dream {GB}), a half-sister to the great Frankel (GB) whose four black-type performers are headed by Galileo's group 1 performer Maximal (GB). Also a half to last year's G2 Mill Reef S. winner Array (Ire) (No Nay Never), this April-foaled colt is trained like that performer by Andrew Balding.

Out of a dual graded-stakes-placed half to the grade I winners Coil and Chiropractor (Kitten's Joy). He meets a Joseph O'Brien-trained fellow newcomer in Scorthy Champ (Ire) (Mehmas {Ire}), a full-brother to the classy Malavath (Ire) and TDN Rising Star Knight (Ire).
