A new 2021 breeding initiative for Norman Court Stud's Sixties Icon (GB) (Galileo {Ire}) was announced by the stud on Monday. Priced at £1,000+ VAT payable on or before covering a mare, the sire of 15 black-type winners and three Group 1 winners was £6,000 in 2020.
“We realise the coming season is going to be tough for breeders,” said Norman Court Stud Manager Keith Evans. “Sixties Icon, who is by Galileo out of Oaks winner, Love Divine (GB) (Diesis {GB}) continues to belt out winners, with a winner to runner ratio of over 55%, they win on any ground and over any trip, he really is an extraordinary stallion. If anyone is in doubt about covering their mare but would like to take a chance for £1,000, then they won't find better value anywhere.”
The stud also gains new resident Rumble Inthejungle (Ire) (Bungle Inthejungle {GB}-Guana {Ire}, by Dark Angel {Ire}), who won the G3 Molecomb S. and ran third in the G1 Middle Park S. in nine starts. Bred by Patrick Gleeson and an £70,000 Goffs UK Premier yearling, the 4-year-old's incoming fee will be £3,500 due Oct. 1, SLF. There are also a select number of breeding rights available at £5,000.
