Nechita Brings $1.55M at Magic Millions

Tom Magnier went to A$1.55 million to secure Group 1 winner Nechita (Aus) (Fastnet Rock {Aus}) from the Patinack Farm dispersal during Wednesday's first session of the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale on the Gold Coast. The 4-year-old filly, from the family of Chiming Lass (Aus) and Winona (Aus), won last year's G1 Ascot Vale S. and G3 Silver Shadow S. According to Magnier, Nechita will be retired and will be bred to Pierro (Aus) in Southern Hemisphere time or to Galileo (Ire) in the Northern Hemisphere.
