'The Centenary of Naas Racecourse', a book celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Kildare track, was officially launched on Tuesday evening.
It traces its evolution from a field on the outskirts of a bustling Irish market town to its present-day status as one of Europe's best-loved boutique racecourses.
Many famous visitors have been to Naas over the years, including Robert De Niro, Count John McCormack, Brendan Behan, Prince Aly Khan (husband of the actress Rita Hayworth), Adele Astaire (sister of Fred Astaire), Bono, President Hillary and former Taoiseach, Liam Cosgrave.
The book is available to buy at the Naas Racecourse website and is priced at €50 plus post and packaging.
