Marie Rohaut has been named the new head of the France Galop/French Racing and Breeding Committee (FRBC) Owners' Department. Rohaut, a Godolphin Flying Star graduate, joined France Galop in the beginning of April.

The daughter of Pau-based trainer Francois Rohaut, the 29-year-old was a co-creator of “Aux courses les jeunes” (Young people, let's go racing), and she also holds a Master's degree in entrepreneurship and international business. She gained work experience in Japan with the Yoshida family, as well as in Australia, Ireland and the UK. After her Flying Star years from 2019-2021, Rohaut returned to France and joined trainer Jean-Claude Rouget as his Deauville satellite yard as his pupil assistant.

“Above all, I want to put my experience and my field knowledge to work for France Galop,” Rohaut said. “After having travelled around the world, I remain convinced that France has one of the best horseracing models and that we need to make it known loud and clear. This is also the role of the younger generation.”
