Group 1 winner Marianafoot (Fr) (Footstepsinthesand {GB}) will move from Haras de Saint-Vincent to Haras des Faunes for the 2024 breeding season, Jour de Galop reported on Wednesday. A fee for the son of Marianabaa (Fr) (Anabaa) will be announced in due course.

Alain Chopard of Haras des Faunes told the JDG, “He's a great recruit…He fits well with the profile I like. Marianafoot has a lot of arguments in his favour and he deserves to be given a chance.”

Haras de Saint-Vincent's Thierry Dalla Longa remains involved with Marianafoot's stallion career, and the 8-year-old will be supported by Guy Pariente and his owner/breeder Jean-Claude Seroul.

Bred and raced by Seroul, the 2021 G1 Prix Maurice de Gheest hero won an additional pair of Group 3 races in France and sports a record of 27-15-4-2 and $797,400 in earnings. He is a half-brother to stakes winners Marianachic (Ire) (Authorized {Ire}) and Padron (Ire) (Gris De Gris {Ire}), and his second dam Maria Gabriella (Ire) (Rock Of Gibraltar {Ire}) won the Listed Prix des Lilas and was second in the G3 Prix Chloe.
