Mick Kinane and Crispin de Moubray have been appointed to lead the Hong Kong Jockey Club Northern Hemisphere sales team, the HKJC announced on Thursday. The pair were in action at the Arqana August Yearling Sale in Deauville, where they acquired four colts on behalf of the club. All of the young stock purchased by the duo for the HKJC will later on be reoffered at the Hong Kong International Sale.
Previously a 13-time Irish champion jockey who retired in 2009, Kinane scored major victories in the G1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, G1 Melbourne Cup, G1 Japan Cup, GI Belmont S. and G1 English Derby, as well as four wins in the Hong Kong International Races. De Moubray, a bloodstock agent for almost 30 years, has already been a part of the HKJC buying team for for several years.
