Observations on the European Racing Scene turns the spotlight on the best European races of the day, highlighting well-pedigreed horses early in their careers, horses of note returning to action and young runners that achieved notable results in the sales ring. Thursday's Observations features a pair of TDN Rising Stars.

SILVER CRACK (FR) (Cracksman {GB}) is one of two TDN Rising Stars along with Feed The Flame (GB) (Kingman {GB}) to line up in this Prix de Ferrieres which could serve as a G1 Prix du Jockey Club pointer. Claudio Marzocco, Edoardo Marzocco & Free Man Racing's Silver Crack hails from the family of Ticker Tape (GB) (Royal Applause {GB}), Brando (GB) (Pivotal {GB}) and Reckless Abandon (GB) (Exchange Rate) and was a seven-length debut winner at Saint-Cloud for the Jean-Claude Rouget stable, while Ecurie Jean-Louis Bouchard's Feed The Flame, a half-brother to the classy Chad Brown stalwart Sacred Life (Fr) (Siyouni {Fr}), was as impressive on his racecourse bow here earlier this month for the Pascal Bary stable.
