He debuts Sunday in the colors of Vinnie Viola's St Elias Stable from the Todd Pletcher barn. Originally a $35,000 FTIOCT yearling, Army Mule is out of SW Crafty Toast (Crafty Prospector) and is a half-brother to SP runners Platinum Steel (Eddington) and Special Ruth (Forest Camp). Second dam Give a Toast (Storm Bird) landed the GIII Beaugay H. during her racing days and this is the extended family of MGISW Our Native (Exclusive Native). Michelle Nevin saddles New Moon (Malibu Moon) to oppose for Jay Em Ess Stable. The dark bay gelding is out of GI Hollywood Starlet S. victress I Believe In You (Pleasant Tap), who has already produced GII Demoiselle S. runner-up Believe in A. P. (A.P. Indy). TJCIS PPS
