Jonathan Schuster, vice president and general manager of racing at Indiana Grand Racing and Casino, passed away Wednesday. He was 61. A native of Indiana, Schuster graduated from Arizona University, where he earned a BA and studied in the Race Track Industry Program.
Schuster, whose love of horse racing began on his 10th birthday when his parents took him to the track for the first time, served as vice president and general manager at Indiana Grand for 17 years.
He is survived by his wife, Janie (Scott) Schuster, mother, Rosemary Schuster, four daughters, and one granddaughter.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Joshua Georgen officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
