GLOBAL CAMPAIGN (c, 4, Curlin">Curlin–Globe Trot, by A.P. Indy), named a 'TDN Rising Star' off a debut victory over track and trip last January, bounced back from a fifth to Code of Honor (Noble Mission {GB}) in the GII Fountain of Youth S. to defeat next-out GI Belmont S. winner Sir Winston (Awesome Again) in the GIII Peter Pan S. Connections passed on the Belmont and the $250,000 KEESEP yearling was last seen finishing third in the GII Jim Dandy S. last July. The 14-5 second choice in this salty heat, Global Campaign hopped at the break and landed in centerfield as Yorkton (Speightstown) and Rare Form (The Factor) eyeballed each other through swift fractions. A bit flat-footed at the three-eighths, he was back into the bit nearing the lane, came four wide off the turn and hit top gear in the nick of time to best Yorkton by 1 1/2 lengths. “He went through a lot to get here,” said winning trainer Stanley Hough. “His last work was great. We had to be pretty careful with him, but he's doing really good and it looked like he came back good. I'm so excited about the future with him.” A half to Spendthrift stallion Bolt d'Oro (Medaglia d'Oro), MGISW, $1,016,000; and Sonic Mule (Distorted Humor), MSW & MGSP, $264,190, Global Campaign is out of a half-sister to SW Passport (Pulpit) as well as the dam of Sagamore's GSW and 'TDN Rising Star' Recruiting Ready (Algorithms). GlobalCampaign is his dam's last listed produce. Sales history: $250,000 Ylg '17 KEESEP. Lifetime Record: GSW, 6-4-0-1, $325,080. Click for the Equibase.com chart or VIDEO, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton.
