CENTRAL PARK WEST (FR) (g, 2, Martinborough {Jpn}–Rapid Transaction, by A.P. Indy) occupied a stalking role behind the leaders through halfway in this debut. Coming under pressure to close passing the quarter-mile marker, the 13-10 favourite went third approaching the eighth pole and found another gear inside the final 100 metres to deny long-time leader Oneonechop (Fr) (Kheleyf) by a half-length in the dying strides, becoming the first winner for his Haras de Grandcamp-based freshman sire (by Deep Impact {Jpn}). Kin to SP Listed Prix Yacowlef second Fastidious (Fr) (Zanzibari), he is the latest foal and second scorer out of a winning half-sister to GSW GI Del Mar Futurity third Can The Man (Into Mischief) and the stakes-winning Martha's Moon (Malibu Moon).
