Charles O'Brien trainee Wizard Of Odds (Ire) (Arizona {Ire}–Starlight Symphony {Ire}, by Oratorio {Ire}), who ran fifth in outings at the Curragh and Listowel earlier in the campaign, stepped forward to garner Friday evening's Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden at Down Royal, becoming the first winner for his freshman sire (by No Nay Never).

WIZARD OF ODDS (IRE) (c, 2, Arizona {Ire}–Starlight Symphony {Ire}, by Oratorio {Ire}), who ran fifth in outings at the Curragh and Listowel earlier in the campaign, chased the clear leader in second after the early exchanges of this third start. Making rapid headway to gain an edge at the top of the straight, 3-1 second favourite came under pressure approaching the final furlong and was driven out to prevail by a length from King Thistle (GB) (Ardad {Ire}), becoming the first winner for his freshman sire (by No Nay Never). Wizard Of Odds is the latest of four foals and first scorer out of a winning half-sister to G3 Bahrain Trophy runner-up Naseem Alyasmeen (Ire) (Clodovil {Ire}). The May-foaled bay's second dam Phillippa (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) is an unraced half-sister to Listed Zetland Stakes victrix Ayam Zaman (Ire) (Montjeu {Ire}). Sales history: €0 RNA Ylg '23 TATIY2.
