Donut God (Into Mischief) tasted sweet success with his first victory at the stakes level in the Inaugural Stakes at Tampa Bay Downs.
Last seen getting his picture taken on unveiling Nov. 14 at Churchill Downs over a sloppy main track, it was much drier for this Listed debut as the 4-5 favorite. Sprinting out to a clear lead after the break, he posted :22.54 and a half in :45.12 largely unchallenged. Working with a clear advantage entering the lane, he had enough left to hold off Naughty Rascal (Rogueish). It was over eight lengths back to Candycrumbs (Valient Minister) in third.
Donut God is the first to the races of Sweet Kisses, herself placed in the Listed Letellier Memorial Stakes, and a half-sister to GSW & MGISP Shancelot (Shanghai Bobby) and MGSP One True Kiss (Warrior's Reward). The latter is the dam of GIII Adirondack Stakes-placed Streaming Now (Into Mischief). Sweet Kisses has since produced a yearling colt by Charlatan and a 2024 colt by Uncle Mo. She went to Not This Time for 2025. This is the immediate female family of Canadian champion 3-year-old colt Kiss A Native, GISW Silver Max and GISW Yes It's True.
