Judge Dismisses Zayat Gambling Debt Lawsuit

A federal judge Thursday dismissed the lawsuit against Ahmed Zayat, owner of GI Kentucky Derby and GI Preakness S. winner American Pharoah (Pioneerof the Nile), alleging gambling debts. Howard Rubinsky claimed Zayat owed him $1.65 million dating back to 2003. In dismissing the case, Judge William J. Martini sited the expiration of the six-year statute of limitations.
