Jockey Club to Purchase Majority Interest in Blood-Horse

According to sources, The Jockey Club is expected to finalize a deal Friday to purchase a majority interest in Blood-Horse magazine from the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (TOBA). Blood-Horse employees were notified of the sale Thursday afternoon. Further details regarding terms of the deal and the future of the publication are expected to come with an official announcement Friday. John Keitt, former outside counsel to The Jockey Club Information Systems, will be named the Blood-Horseís new publisher, according to sources.
