FARM MANAGER
Springhouse Farm is currently seeking a Farm Manager.
The qualified candidate must have the following:
– Three years experience in a supervisory role with a thoroughbred breeding farm
– High school diploma or equivalent and legally eligible to work in USA
– Clean driver's license
Responsibilities:
– Monitor health & condition of stock on farm
– Recognize horse health issues in mares, foals, yearlings
– Foaling
– Liaise with veterinarians and farriers, stallion farms, etc.
– Maintain detailed records of day to day reproductive and health management of herd, worming protocol, and vaccinations
– Ability to monitor pasture use
– Manage a staff of 20
– Ability to administer medications including IV and IM
– Sales preparation of mares, weanlings, yearlings
This is a full-time salaried position with candidates being on-call for emergencies. Salary is based on experience including standard benefits package. Housing & vehicle will be provided.

DETAILS:
Experience: Solid experience is required.
Position Type: Seasonal.
Shifts: 6:00 PM to 6:00 am (twelve-hour shift), 36 hours per week.
Schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Compensation: Competitive salary. Weekly payments.

Key Responsibilities:
• Execute yearling sales preparation under the guidance of the Yearling Manager.
• Manage 25-30 staff across four barns, ensuring smooth operations and a respectful work environment.
• Perform administrative tasks, including maintaining records and assisting with payroll.
• Administer medications, monitor horse health, and liaise with veterinarians and farriers.
Candidate Requirements:
• 5-7 years of yearling sales prep experience and 3-5 years of staff management.
• High school diploma or equivalent, and a valid U.S. driver's license.
• Strong computer skills and experience with Horse Farm Management software.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
• This full-time role requires on-farm housing and includes a competitive compensation and benefits package. The Assistant Yearling Manager must be on-call for emergencies.
