Ballet Slippers Heads To Ascot

Dubawi | Darley

Observations on the European Racing Scene turns the spotlight on the best European races of the day, highlighting well-bred horses early in their careers, horses of note returning to action and young runners that achieved notable results in the sales ring. Friday's Observations features the return of experienced maiden Ballet Slippers (Ire) (Dubawi {Ire}).

BALLET SLIPPERS (IRE) (Dubawi {Ire}) looks to get off the mark at the third attempt, having run into smart peers in her native Ireland so far. Ballydoyle's first foal out of the multiple Ggroup 1-winning Magical (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) and granddaughter of Halfway To Heaven (Ire) (Pivotal {GB}) was third on debut behind Juddmonte's TDN Rising Star Red Letter (GB) (Frankel {GB}) and just edged out back at The Curragh last month by Falling Snow (Ire) (Justify). Arguably the best maiden in training has a distinct edge over her rivals on the card that Aidan O'Brien brought Paddington (GB) (Siyouni {Fr}) to in 2022.
