Anna Kerr Appointed COO for The National Stud

Anna Kerr, previously the manager of Goodwood Racecourse's sponsorship portfolio, has been appointed the Chief Operating Officer of The National Stud effective immediately, the Newmarket stud announced on Monday. Kerr first gained experience in the industry under her father, bloodstock agent Bert Kerr, and she is also a graduate of the Irish National Stud Thoroughbred Breeding Course. Kerr has also worked with Irish Thoroughbred Marketing, Leopardstown Racecourse and Paul Moroney Bloodstock.

“We are delighted to appoint Anna Kerr as our new Chief Operating Officer,” said The National Stud Director Tim Lane. “She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Stud and will be crucial in implementing our future strategies and elevating the Educational arm of The National Stud in particular.”

“It is a really exciting time to be joining The National Stud,” said Kerr, who will report to Lane. “I am particularly looking forward to working closely with Tim, the Stud team and our board to develop further the award-winning education programme and to help mentor the future leaders of our industry.”
