Tattersalls has appointed Shirley Anderson-Jolag to the role of sales manager of Tattersalls Jockey Club Sales and Katherine Sheridan to the role of sales manager of Tattersalls Online, it was announced on Friday.
Anderson-Jolag joined Tattersalls in 2015 and is said to have played a key role in developing and promoting Tattersalls sales at Cheltenham, while Sheridan first joined the company in 2022 as online sales executive. She'd previously spent 10 years abroad, including in Australia where she worked as credit controller at Magic Millions and manager of operations, client relations and marketing at Newhaven Park.
Tattersalls chairman Edmond Mahony said, “Both Shirley Anderson-Jolag and Katherine Sheridan have contributed significantly to the success of Tattersalls Cheltenham and Tattersalls Online sales in recent years. Their deep understanding of these markets and extensive network of contacts are invaluable and their respective contributions to Tattersalls are reflected in their new roles within the company.”
Commenting on her appointment, Anderson-Jolag said, “I am thrilled to have been appointed as sales manager for Tattersalls Jockey Club Sales. I have a passion for National Hunt racing and in my nine years at Tattersalls the Tattersalls Cheltenham Sales have become firmly established as the market leaders in this sector.”
“I am delighted to be appointed as online sales manager at Tattersalls,” said Sheridan of her own new role. “We have experienced enormous growth in this relatively new sector of the Tattersalls sales portfolio with our recent online sales breaking records in all categories and to have seen the Tattersalls online sales platform establish itself in the global marketplace has been hugely rewarding.”
