Amo Racing's Too Darn Hot Arqana Breeze Up Sensation Wins On Debut

Amo Racing's Cathedral (GB) (Too Darn Hot {GB}–War And Peace {GB}, by Frankel {GB}) was a talking horse making her debut at Lingfield on Wednesday and the Ralph Beckett trainee duly delivered with an impressive success in the six-furlong maiden. Sent off the 1-2 favourite under David Egan, the €800,000 joint-top-priced filly at the Arqana May Breeze-Up tracked the strong early pace before being launched from the top of the straight. Brushing aside Godolphin's Warm Summer (Ire) (Blue Point {Ire}) passing the furlong pole, the granddaughter of the G1 Matron Stakes heroine Emulous (GB) (Dansili {GB}) from the immediate family of Bluestocking (GB) (Camelot {GB}) powered to a 4 1/4-length success from that rival.

Entered in next weekend's G1 Moyglare Stud Stakes, Cathedral is the fourth foal out of the unraced dam, whose third is the recent G3 Ballyogan Stakes runner-up Firebird (GB) (Lope De Vega {Ire}). Emulous produced the aforementioned current Juddmonte luminary Bluestocking, heroine of the G1 Pretty Polly Stakes who was runner-up in the G1 King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes, G1 Irish Oaks and G1 British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes. War And Peace's yearling colt is by Showcasing (GB), while she also has a colt foal by Pinatubo (Ire).
