A very well-bred dozen newly turned sophomore fillies will contest this two-turn turf heat, led by Shadwell homebred TALAAQY (Distorted Humor), the first foal out of their Habaya (Storm Cat), a GSW juvenile turfer. The bay's second dam is 2002's Champion Turf Mare Golden Apples (Ire) (Pivotal {GB}). Christophe Clement sends out Jon and Sarah Kelly's homebred debutante Interrogation (Kitten's Joy), a chestnut filly out of Italian G1SW and American MGSW Meridiana (Ger) (Lomitas {GB}), who also produced these connections' MSW/MGSP Chamois (Smart Strike) and GISP Center Divider (Giant's Causeway). The Bill Mott barn will be represented by Peter Vegso's homebred firster Go Forward (Jump Start), a half to GI Pacific Classic S. hero Go Between (Point Given) out of SW/MGSP Mediation (Ire) (Caerleon). Chad Brown starts a pair in Klaravich Stables' $340,000 Fasig-Tipton October grad Inflexibility (Scat Daddy)–a first-timer whose MSP second dam is a full-sister to dual champion Ashado (Saint Ballado) and GISWSunriver–and Gainesway Stable's Taperge (Tapit), a half to MGISW Jeranimo (Congaree) making her second voyage after running eighth Nov. 9 at Aqueduct.
