Observations for Monday, Apr. 25

4.35 Naas, Mdn, €15,500, 2yo, 6fT
BEAN FEASA (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}) represents Godolphin and Jim Bolger and is an early-starting half-sister to the trainer's homebred sensation Teofilo (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), who carried all before him during his only season of racing 10 years ago before proving a hit at stud. Among those she meets on her first racing encounter is Moyglare Stud's All Crazy Now (Ire) (Dutch Art {GB}), a Dermot Weld-trained grandson of the 2002 GI Matriarch S. heroine Dress To Thrill (Ire) (Danehill).

5.20 Wolverhampton, Mdn, £4,500, 2yo, 5f 216y (AWT)
ROSELAND (First Defence) represents a significant landmark in the burgeoning career of Newmarket-based trainer Hugo Palmer, being the first runner from the stable to carry the esteemed Juddmonte silks. Out of the 2010 G3 Musidora S. and 2011 GII Churchill Distaff Turf Mile winner Aviate (GB) (Dansili {GB}), a full-sister to the 2004 G1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere runner-up and sire Early March (GB), the homebred takes on Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum's experienced Camargue (GB) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}),a Mark Johnston-trained relative of Dubai Millennium (GB) (Seeking the Gold).

6.00 Windsor, Mdn, £4,500, 3yo, 8f 67yT
MAKZEEM (GB) (Makfi {GB}), a half-brother to the triple Group 1 winner Al Kazeem (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}), who was withdrawn from his intended debut at Chelmsford last Saturday, takes up this alternative engagement on grass for his owner-breeder John Deer and trainer Roger Charlton. He faces some race-hardened individuals, including Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani's 420,000gns TATOCT purchase Desert Haze (GB) (New Approach {Ire}), a Ralph Beckett-trained relative of Occupandiste (Ire) (Kaldoun {Fr}).

6.10 Naas, Mdn, €15,500, 2yo, f, 5fT
ROLY POLY (War Front) is one of three typically beautifully-bred newcomers from Ballydoyle and appears the pick, being the first progeny out of the four-times Group 1 winner and G1 Irish 1000 Guineas heroine Misty For Me (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), herself a full-sister to last year's G1 Prix Marcel Boussac winner and leading Guineas contender Ballydoyle (Ire). Michael Tabor's colour-bearer is joined by How (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}),Derrick Smith's daughter of the MG1SW Lillie Langtry (Ire) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}) and therefore full-sister to the G1 Moyglare Stud S. and brilliant G1 Fillies' Mile winner Minding (Ire), who is in pole position for the Newmarket Classic, and Brave Anna (War Front). She looks the third-string, but would be the pride of most stables as a full-sister to last year's GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf winner Hit It A Bomb. She starts out in the same Evie Stockwell silks for Aidan O'Brien and the fact that her next two dams, Liscanna (Ire) (Sadler's Wells) and Lahinch (Ire) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}), both won black-type races offer strong portents for her.

6.30 Windsor, Mdn, £4,500, 3yo/up, 10f 7yT
CHOREOGRAPHER (IRE) (Sea the Stars {Ire}) represents the China Horse Club and the Roger Varian stable on what will be a keenly-awaited debut after he cost connections a cool €850,000 at Goffs Orby. Out of a listed-winning half to the classy German miler Eagle Rise (Ire) (Danehill) from the extended family of Epalo (Ger) (Lando {Ger}), the chestnut takes on a notable Sir Michael Stoute-trained newcomer in Bermuda Thoroughbred Racing Limited's Sir George Somers (Cape Blanco {Ire}), a 340,000gns TATOCT purchase whose dam is a half to the G1SW Castle Gandolfo (Gone West).
