New Approach's Mulk lines up in the Wood Ditton | Darley

2.10 Newmarket, Debutantes, £10,000, 3yo, 8fT

SKY KINGDOM (IRE) (Montjeu {Ire}) takes part in this Wood Ditton S., which can throw up a top-notcher such as the 2012 winner Mukhadram (GB) (Shamardal) and 2009 runner-up Harbinger (GB) (Dansili {GB}). Out of the MG1SW We Can Say It Now (Aus) (Starcraft {NZ}), Paul Makin's homebred meets another product of a Group 1 winner in Shadwell's 450,000gns TATOCT graduate Mulk (GB) (New Approach {Ire}), a Sir Michael Stoute-trained son of the Fillies' Mile and Coronation S. heroine Nannina (GB) (Medicean {GB}).

2.45 Newmarket, Cond, £7,000, 2yo, 5fT

SUTTER COUNTY (GB) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}) bids to carry on the momentum of his nine-length thrashing of a subsequent winner at Wolverhampton last month and keep the Mark Johnston juvenile bandwagon rolling along. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum's immediate relative of Denman (Aus) (Lonhro {Aus}) has to give six pounds to all his eight rivals on rain-softened ground, which may compromise his natural speed.

5.05 Newmarket, Mdn, £8,500, 3yo, 10fT

SATISH (GB) (Dansili {GB}) returns after a promising debut fourth over an inadequate seven furlongs at Ascot in September and, being a half-brother to the brilliant 2009 G1 English and Irish Oaks heroine Sariska (GB) (Pivotal {GB}), will relish the ease in the ground. Lady Bamford and John Gosden also supply the unraced colt Wings of Desire (GB) (Pivotal {GB}), whose talented dam Gull Wing (Ire) (In the Wings {GB}) is a half to Sariska and has already produced the 2014 G2 King Edward VII S. winner and last year's King George runner-up Eagle Top (GB) and the 2013 G2 Park Hill S. scorer The Lark (GB) by the same sire. Also engaged is Ronald Arculli's Amazing Red (Ire) (Teofilo {Ire}), a 220,000gns half-brother to Red Cadeaux (GB) (Cadeaux Genereux {GB}) who was withdrawn by Ed Dunlop from his intended first start at Doncaster earlier this month; and Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum's 400,000gns purchase Point of View (Ire) (New Approach {Ire}), a Roger Varian-trained half-brother to the GSW and G1SP Magic Artist (Ire) (Iffraaj {GB}).

5.10 Maisons-Laffitte, Cond, €34,000, 3yo, 10fT

MEKHTAAL (GB) (Sea the Stars {Ire}) bids to confirm the promise of his taking debut win over this trip at Saint-Cloud last month for Al Shaqab Racing and Jean-Claude Rouget. The €300,000 ARQAUG purchase, whose dam is closely related to the G1SW Germance and a half to the MGSW Aigue Marine (GB) (Galileo {Ire}), meets a smart filly in Finn Blichfeldt's Etonnez Moi (Ire) (High Chaparral {Ire}), a Pia Brandt trainee who was impressive on the same day and card as Mekhtaal.
