Alex and JoAnn Lieblong's Mo for the Money (Uncle Mo), an impressive allowance winner at Oaklawn earlier this money, will point towards the GII Rebel S. Mar. 19, trainer Tony Dutrow announced Friday.
“He liked the race track,” Dutrow said. “He's trained well over the track. I feel very good that that horse will not have trouble with the distance. That's where we're at.”
A debut winner sprinting at Belmont Oct. 28, Mo for the Money was third in Aqueduct's King's Swan S. Nov. 27 and finished fourth next out when stretched to a mile at Laurel Jan. 4. The bay charged home a 5 1/2-length winner in a six-panel Hot Springs allowance last time Feb. 7.
