TAPPAN STREET (Into Mischief), a $1 million-purchase at last year's Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select Yearling Sale, makes his first start for CHC, Siena and WinStar. Trained by Brad Cox, the colt is the second to the races for GSP Virginia Key (Distorted Humor), who is also responsible for his older half-sister in-training Distorted d'Oro (Medaglia d'Oro. Tappan Street's second dam, GSW Our Khrysty (Newfoundland), also produced GI Del Mar Debutante Stakes heroine Grace Adler (Curlin) and the recent GI Stephen Foster Stakes runner-up Pyrenees (Into Mischief). This is an extended female family which also includes GI Whitney Handicap champ Bullsbay (Tiznow).

From the same shedrow, Rothko (Tapit) debuts for LNJ Foxwoods. The homebred is the younger brother to fellow colorbearer and recent maiden breaking filly Ellen Jay (Constitution). Both are out of dual champion Covfefe (Into Mischief), who was also campaigned by LNJ and trained by Cox. This dam counts as a half-sister Japanese G1 NHK Mile Cup runner-up Albiano (Harlan's Holiday). Under Rothko's third dam we find GI Juddmonte Spinster Stakes victress Acoma (Empire Maker). TJCIS PPS

Ready for his unveiling under Bill Mott, Godolphin's Cooper (Nyquist) hails from a dam who is a full-sister to GSW Indulgent (Bernardini), and who is a half to the dam of MGSW Caramel Swirl (Union Rags) and current sire Frosted (Tapit). Cooper's second dam, GSW Fast Cookie (Deputy Minister), is herself a half-sister to champion Midshipman (Unbridled's Song). TJCIS PPS
