Friday's Observations features the 2021 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 1 topper.

Godolphin debutante RAINBOW SKY (GB) (Sea The Stars {Ire}), who is a full-sister to G1 Prix Marcel Boussac third Star Terms (GB), topped the sheets at last year's Tattersalls October Book 1 fixture when sold for 1.5 million guineas and opens up for the Charlie Appleby nursery here. Her one dozen opponents include Flaxman Stables Ireland's once-raced Humankind (Ire) (Frankel {GB}), who is a Sir Michael Stoute-conditioned granddaughter of the storied Miesque (Nureyev).

Al Shira'aa Farms' hitherto unraced GULF PEARL (IRE) (No Nay Never) is a 925,000gns Tattersalls October Book 1 half-sister to last term's GI Belmont Derby Invitational hero Bolshoi Ballet (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) and MGSW G1 St Leger and G1 Irish St Leger third Southern France (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}). The Ger Lyons trainee faces a baker's dozen in this debut, including Juddmonte's Tide Pool (GB) Frankel {GB}), who is out of a full-sister to MG1SW distaffer Midday (GB) (Oasis Dream {GB}), from the Dermot Weld stable.

 

17.45 Kempton, Nov, £6,800, 2yo, f, 8f (AWT)
George Strawbridge's hitherto unraced homebred INNER SPACE (FR) (Siyouni {Fr}), a John and Thady Gosden trainee, is out of G1 British Champions Fillies & Mares heroine Journey (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}) and encounters a pair of Qatar Racing representatives in this unveiling. They are Long Ago (GB) (Roaring Lion), who is a half-sister to G1 Criterium International runner-up South Seas (Ire) (Lope De Vega {Ire}), from the Sir Michael Stoute yard; and Vitani (GB) (Roaring Lion), a daughter of G1 Moyglare Stud S. and G1 Cheveley Park S. placegetter Kiyoshi (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}), representing James Ferguson.
