Last year's G3 Sweet Solera S. winner West End Girl (GB) (Golden Horn {GB}) heads five lots for the inaugural Tattersalls Online Sale, which will open for bidding on June 13 and conclude on June 15.
The Alan Spence-owned and Mark Johnston-trained West End Girl was third in the Listed Lingfield Oaks Trial on seasonal debut on June 5 and holds an entry for the G2 Ribblesdale S. at Royal Ascot on June 16. West End Girl boasts an attractive pedigree, too; she is out of a half-sister to dual Group 1 winner Reckless Abandon (Exchange Rate) from the family of Group 1 winners Ticker Tape (GB) (Royal Applause {GB}) and Brando (GB) (Pivotal {GB}).
“West End Girl is a very smart and very well-bred filly who has a big future ahead of her,” said Spence. “It was always the intention to sell her at the end of the year, but when we heard about the Tattersalls Online sale we felt it was the perfect platform for a filly with her credentials. She is not just a Ribblesdale prospect, she could also head for the Oaks and being a proven group winner on good to firm ground makes her very attractive to buyers from throughout the world, all of whom I am sure will be impressed by the Tattersalls Online platform.”
The four other offerings are recent 2-year-old debut winners Igotatext (Ire) (Ajaya {GB}) and Muker (Ire) (Mehmas {Ire}), who hold entries in the G2 Coventry S. and Listed Windsor Castle S., respectively; G3 Albany S. entrant Star Of Emaraaty (Ire) (Pride of Dubai {Aus}) and Windsor Castle entrant Tantastic (GB) (Mayson {GB}).
