Phoenix Ladies Syndicate has added Linda Rice to their training roster. Rice will oversee the careers of three of the Dubai based team's runners, including 2-year-old Wild America (American Pharoah), a $400,000 KESEP yearling purchase out of Wild Bout Tiffany (Wildcat Heir).
“I am very excited to join the Phoenix Ladies team.” said Rice. “We received our first horse this week in Wild America; she is a beautiful American Pharoah filly with a lot of potential. We are hoping for great things in our new venture together!”
Also joining Rice are a colt by Will Take Charge out of Contact (Touch Gold) and a Declaration Of War filly out of Kaloura (Ire) (Sinndar {Ire}). From the family of Group 1 winner Kalanisi (Ire), she is a half-sister to the Phoenix Thoroughbreds' owned winner Kadar (Scat Daddy).
“We're delighted to have a such a talented trainer join our team,” said Phoenix Ladies Principal Pamela Cordina. “We have watched her achievements and you can't fail to be impressed with her record. It's great we have some good horses to send her and we look forward to the future with great optimism.”
