He's the son of an economist who also happens to be a former United States Senator and a one-time candidate for the Republican nomination for he presidency. Marshall Gramm did follow his father's path, at least when it comes to economics. The younger Gramm is an economics professor at Rhodes College in Memphis. But he never went into politics. Perhaps that's because he is too busy with his other lines of work, betting on the horses and running the Ten Strike Racing syndicate.
