The Gold Coast Turf Club has entered into a three-year partnership with Queensland-based Aquis Farm that includes the Gold Coast racecourse being re-named Aquis Park from Aug. 1 and the introduction of night racing, according to Racenet.com.au.
Gold Coast Turf Club Chief Executive Steve Lines told Racenet that the partnership will involve several marketing initiatives, including night racing.
The Gold Coast's greatest day of racing is the annual at A$10-million Magic Millions Raceday in January, which has traditionally been conducted on the Saturday afternoon prior to selling across the street at the Magic Millions complex in the evening.
