Treve Back on Track Sunday

By

Treve (Fr) (Motivator {GB}) looks likely to take the next step en route to her historic bid for a third G1 Prix De L'Arc de Triomphe when she lines out for the G1 Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud in Paris this Sunday. A field of 13 have been left in at this stage including the Andre Fabre-trained Flintshire (GB) (Dansili {GB}) runner up to Treve in last years Arc, and the Alain de Royer-Dupre trained Group 1 winner Dolniya (Fr) (Azamour {Ire}). Treve made a very smooth comeback in the G2 Prix Corrida May 29 and hopes are high that she can continue in that vein. Harry Herbert, racing manager to Al Shaqab Racing, is looking forward to Sunday and commented, “Touch wood, Treve is in tremendous form and Criquette [Head] is very pleased with her. There is a bit of rain around and we would like some of that. You saw in her last race she seems to be better than ever and hopefully she will put up a bold performance and take another step in the right direction before a shot at a third Arc.” Reflecting on her impressive seasonal debut at Saint-Cloud Herbert added, “Her last race was over a trip too short for her, so imagine how far she would have won by if it was over a mile and a half. It is lovely to see her come out of a race so well. We go into Sunday full of hope.”
