TDN Rising Star Dortmund (Big Brown) has been asked to do a lot in the 48 days since breaking his maiden one day after fellow Kaleem Shah colorbearer Bayern (Offlee Wild) won the GI Breeders' Cup Classic. But the towering chestnut completed his rise to the top of the class--or very near to it, in any event--with a thrilling defeat of Firing Line (Line of David) and Mr. Z (Malibu Moon) in the inaugural GI Los Alamitos Futurity. The 3-year-old turf season wrapped up in earnest in South Florida with the running of the Tropical Park Derby and Tropical Park Oaks and there's an exciting new TDN Rising Star Down Under. All that and more In Today's TDN! Happy Winter!
